Scott Kaplan is a freelance creative director/writer based in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
Since he started freelancing in 2010, Scott has written and creative directed many Super Bowl ads, filled-in as an interim CD/ECD at Wieden and Kennedy Portland, FCB NY, McCann NY, Crispin Porter Bogusky, Publicis Seattle and JWT NY, and has worked on numerous projects and pitches for dozens of agencies and directly for clients around the country and world (Israel, Canada, New Zealand and Germany).
His last staff job was as a SRVP/SRCD at BBDO/NY. Prior to his six year stint at BBDO, Scott worked at TBWA/Chiat/NY, DeVito Verdi, Ammirati & Puris, and McCabe and Co. Scott's work has won medals and embossed certificates from all the major award shows, which includes: Cannes (four lions), Art Directors Club (4 cubes), Andy (two heads), and One Show (nine pencils). He has also won Best of Show at The London International Awards (twice), Obie Awards, and The National Addy Awards.
He feels that his greatest accomplishments to date are his two daughters. And, that he still has a full head of hair.
